Florida defeated Stetson by a score of 6-1 in Wednesday's college baseball game at Conrad Park. However, the final two innings were played under protest

The No. 8 Florida Gators overcame a controversial seventh inning to beat the Stetson Hatters on Tuesday night, 6-1. Even with the long delay at the end of the seventh, the bats got hot late and were able to give the Gators (8-0) some much-needed insurance runs to get the week started with a win in DeLand.

This game had a little bit of everything: a pitcher's duel, some questionable calls from the umpires and a couple of homers.

DELAND — Stetson thought it had tied the game. Instead, an umpire review killed its would-be seventh-inning rally and ensured Tuesday’s college baseball game against the Florida Gators ended under protest.
