Beyoncé opened her Cowboy Carter world tour Monday night with the first of five shows at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium: a characteristically complicated pop spectacle that framed Black creativity as a wellspring — perhaps the wellspring — of American culture.

FOX 11's Gina Silva was in Inglewood to catch up with fans who lined up outside SoFi Stadium for Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter Tour."

The 43-year-old Grammy winner kicked things off with “American Requiem,” the first track from her eighth studio album “Cowboy Carter,” People magazine reported. The show, which clocked in at just under three hours, featured 35 songs and all three of her children (who she shares with her husband, Jay-Z) made appearances throughout the night.
