Despite India playing all of their matches in Dubai, captain Rohit Sharma might attend the Champions Trophy opening ceremony that the PCB is planning to host in Pakistan, which will require the presence of all eight captains.

Speaking exclusively to Sports Now, a source in the BCCI said that no decision has been taken as of yet regarding whether Rohit Sharma would travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 opening ceremony.

According to reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board is eyeing on organising a grand opening ceremony which is tentively scheduled for February 16.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will welcome the Indian cricket captain warmly if he visits Karachi for the opening ceremony of the ICC Men's Champion's Trophy 2025. PCB sources stated there is no confirmation yet on whether the Indian captain will visit or not. All participating teams’ captains have been invited to the event, as per PCB sources.
