Qatar's gas production at the South Pars field is steady and supply is proceeding normally, it said on Tuesday, after the world's largest gas field was hit by an Israeli airstrike on Saturday, prompting Iran to partially suspend its production.

Qatar strongly condemned Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said on Tuesday. He describing it as an "uncalculated step that will have dire repercussions.

Oman and Qatar were leading efforts to begin ceasefire talks, while mediators said Iran was open to resuming nuclear negotiations if Israel’s attacks stop.
