The Seattle Seahawks could be facing off against the Indianapolis Colts and their new future Hall of Fame quarterback.

Philip Rivers came out of retirement to sign with the Colts this week, and the Seahawks are expecting they’ll see the 44-year-old quarterback on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald will welcome the challenge if quarterback Philip Rivers starts for the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.

Philip Rivers is back. On Wednesday morning, the 44-year-old was signed to the Colts’ practice squad following injuries to just about the entirety of their quarterback room, and according to ESPN’s Stephen Holder, it looks like the team is getting ready to start him under center on Sunday against the Seahawks.

The Packers are coming off a last-second win over the Chicago Bears, wh ich thrust them back atop the NFC North and the No. 2 seed in the NFC. They've garnered tons of momentum with that victory, which, if you've been paying attention to the Packers this season, is exactly the time they give it all back with a loss.

The Seattle Seahawks are planning as though Philip Rivers will be the starting quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts this week.

Indianapolis looked lifeless after their loss Sunday but Rivers' return seems to have reenergized the locker room. At least for now.
