A desperate search for a missing Philadelphia woman has taken a heartbreaking turn after human remains were discovered Saturday. The grim discovery was made behind an abandoned school near Awbury Arboretum, where police had been scouring the area for 23-year-old Kada Scott, who vanished on October 4.
Scott was last seen on Oct. 4 after she left work early. Police say she met with a man who has since been charged in her disappearance.
It has been confirmed that these are the human remains of Kada Scott, and that has been confirmed by DNA," Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said at a press conference when asked if the identity of the remains had been confirmed.
