Free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Thursday that there is no specific timeline in place for him to make a decision about his playing future. During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show (h/t NFL Network's Tom Pelissero ), Rodgers said the following with regard to his talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Rodgers cleared the air on his reported visit, telling McAfee that he tried to keep it as secret as possible. He revealed that he did have conversations with Steelers' Mike Tomlin and gave the longtime coach his flowers: "He's more than I even thought of him from afar."

A looming deadline could push quarterback Aaron Rodgers to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers sooner rather than later.
