Commenters called the post "insensitive" and "tone deaf," pointing out that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Others attributed the caption to the couple's dark sense of humor. Afterwards, Bell skipped a scheduled appearance Wednesday on the Today show.
Kristen Bell has shared a hopeful update about Nobody Wants This Season 3. The beloved rom-com series, which bagged three Emmy nominations in 2025, returned with a second season on Netflix recently.
Amid Kristen Bell’s controversy over her Instagram post with her husband, Dax Shepherd, the “Nobody Wants This” star skipped a planned appearance on the “Today” show earlier in the week. Bell has not addressed the backlash as she promotes season 2 of “Nobody Wants This,” which hit Netflix on Thursday. Brody’s real-life wife, Leighton Meester, joined the cast for the new season, playing the middle school nemesis of Bell’s character.
Fallon, who was cracking up over the actress' Halloween plans, playfully doubted that Shepard would allow her to glam his face for the costume, to which she countered. Kristen Bell is on the road for the Nobody Wants This season 2 press tour. Making a stop at The Tonight Show on October 23, she opted for a sheer mesh top over a black bra. During the appearance, she teased her Halloween outfit as being Carrie Bradshaw meets Shawshank Redemption.
It’s not a good week for Kristen Bell. Days after her controversial anniversary post about husband Dax Shepard made headlines, the actress is facing more backlash – this time over the poorly received second season of her Netflix series Nobody Wants This.
