Mumbai: The Bangladeshi national arrested for assaulting Saif Ali Khan managed to enter the actor's residence in Bandra, Mumbai, by climbing over the compound wall. According to the police, he found the security guards asleep at the time of the attack.

The guards who were supposed to be on alert mode, were 'asleep' when the Bangladeshi man who attacked Saif Ali Khan entered the actor's building.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a hospital in India's financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder with a knife on January 16 inside his home. The accused reportedly stabbed the actor six times, resulting in serious injuries. Since then, Saif has been undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.

Mumbai police probing the case have alleged that the accused is a Bangladeshi national who was staying illegally in India after changing his name to Vijay Das.
