Kashmir experienced its heaviest snowfall of the season, affecting air, rail, and road traffic, along with power and water services. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah led efforts to address snow-related disruptions.

Srinagar recorded a low of minus 1 degree Celsius on Friday night, more than six degrees up from the previous night's low of minus 7.3 degrees Celsius.

Following the first snowfall of the season, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated that nearly 2,000 vehicles are stuck in Qazigund town, Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmir has been cut off from the rest of the country following heavy snowfall. Tourists have faced hours-long traffic jams and unpredictable weather conditions.

The Srinagar Airport announced on X; "Due to bad weather conditions, all flights at Srinagar Airport have been cancelled. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for updates. We regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
