Defenseman Josh Mahura scored at 3:06 of overtime Saturday night and the visiting Seattle Kraken defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3. Mahura scored on an 11-foot wrist shot in the Kraken's fourth straight overtime game (one went to a shootout).
Stolarz's words were a breath of fresh air for many Leafs fans who echoed similar frustrations about the club in the past. But there's a possibility it could backfire.
He cut around William Nylander and fired the puck past Anthony Stolarz from the slot to win the game. Mahura ended a streak of 134 games without a goal with the snipe. His last goal came on Jan. 17, 2023 when he was with Florida. Interestingly, Mahura was in Scotiabank Arena that night, too.

After Joshua Mahura passed by William Nylander with the puck and scored the overtime-winner for the Seattle Kraken, Anthony Stolarz smashed his stick over the crossbar in frustration.
