Acer's CEO Jason Chen has announced a 10% price hike on laptops in the US due to tariffs on Chinese-made goods imposed by President Trump.

Acer CEO Jason Chen confirmed in a UK interview that the company will raise prices on US-bound laptops made in China by 10% next month in response to Trump's tariffs. He also hinted at possible production shifts beyond China,

It sounds like the price hike may not affect desktops, as Chen told The Telegraph that Acer had moved its desktop computer manufacturing outside China during Trump’s earlier tariffs during his first term. He said Acer might now consider moving some of its laptop manufacturing outside China too, with US manufacturing as “one of the options.”

At least one major laptop maker is getting ready to raise prices in response to US President Donald Trump's 10% tariffs on Chinese imports.

Acer laptops are getting a price hike in the US come March. In an interview with The Telegraph, Acer's chief executive and chairman Jason Chen announced a 10 percent increased cost for all products due to President Trump's tariffs on China.
