A system of low pressure moving west across the Atlantic has a high chance of become a tropical depression or storm this week.

The National Hurricane Center is predicting Invest 97L could become a tropical depression or tropical storm as early as later this morning, Aug. 11.

The National Hurricane Center has given Invest 96L a 50% chance for development over the next seven days.
