Inter Milan had host Barcelona on the ropes for much of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League semifinal first leg, but Barca will still head back to Italy on even terms in the two-game, total-goals-wins series.

Inter Milan is trying to make it back to the championship match for the first time in two years, having lost to Manchester City in the finale of the 2022-23 season. This year’s Inter squad finished tied with Barcelona in the league phase, beating up Feyenoord and Bayern Munich to make it back to the semifinals.
