ORLANDO, Fla. — Tuesday is your final day to seek federal help if you were impacted by Hurricane Milton or Hurricane Helene. The deadline for Florida residents to apply for FEMA assistance is Jan. 7. Hurricane victims can call 800-621-3362. As a reminder, if you suffered damage from both storms, you will need to apply separately for each one.

The deadline to apply for federal assistance is three weeks away for South Carolina residents affected by Hurricane Helene. The deadline was extended to Jan. 28, but FEMA said they strongly urge affected residents to apply as soon as possible.
