Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £48.5million with a potential £3.5m in add-ons. The 20-year-old has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge through to 2032, after The Athletic reported that the clubs had reached an agreement in principle last week.

A deal to sign Gittens was struck late last month and Dortmund revealed on Thursday that the young winger was on the cusp of signing for Chelsea, who are reported to have paid an initial £48.5 million ($66.2 million) with a further £3.5 million ($4.8 million) in add-ons.
