The transfer was concluded just in time for the winter transfer window to close for Bundesliga clubs on Monday afternoon.

Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season. Chukwuemeka has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge this season, making only five appearances across all competitions. Only one of those was from the start, away to Kazakhstani side Astana in the Conference League.
